The Age of British Watercolour |
January 6 - March 8 2017 |
For our first gallery show in 2017, we have a careful selection of the finest watercolours from the 18th and 19th Centuries. The works for sale within this show have been selected and loaned to us by Guy Peppiatt Fine Art. Guy Peppiatt started his working life at Dulwich Picture Gallery before joining Sotheby's British Pictures department in 1993. He soon specialised in early British drawings and watercolours and took over the running of Sotheby's Topographical sales. Topographical views whether they be of Britain or worldwide have remained an abiding interest.
This show is to coincide with The National Trust Petworth House exhibition; 'Turner and the Age of British Watercolour' which will continue until March 12.
