Over 100 wood engravings will fill our small gallery , when we host the Society of Wood Engravers 77th Annual Exhibition. The show features wood engravings, woodcuts, and linocuts from both British and international artists. The Annual Exhibition tours the country, and the the show in Petworth is the first time for several years that the Exhibition has visited the South East of England. The society exists primarily to promote wood engraving, and is devoted to creating contacts between wood engravers and those interested in their work, both in Britain and abroad, in order to sustain this unique artform. This year's exhibition includes over 100 original prints, by society members. Prices range from £45 - £550. A full list of the exhibiting artists appears below, with a slideshow of the prints.
