Exhibiting in 'Harriet Piercy - Portraits of Place" at Kevis House Gallery, June 2014
Harriet Piercy was born in London in 1987. After studying English Literature at university, she went on to complete a Masters in Painting at City & Guilds School of Art, followed by the Drawing Year scholarship diploma programme at the Prince's Drawing School.
Harriet was selected to be the artist in residence at the 2012 Works on Paper Fair at the Science Museum. She was selected and sponsored by the Directors of Kevis House Gallery.
Piercy's work has been exhibited in galleries including Dulwich Picture Gallery, Tank Gallery and the Daggett Gallery and in pop-up group shows with the Portobello Artist Group and others. Her work has recently been exhibited in the touring exhibition, 'Sketch', with the Rabley Drawing Centre.
Piercy has been a visiting tutor with Notting Hill Visual Arts and taught a series of drawing workshops for employees during her resiencey at TNS. As well as teaching adults, she works as a drawing tutor with the Prince's Drawing Clubs for children, teaching classes at The National Gallery, the Courtauld Gallery and the V&A Museum of Childhood.
Piercy's studio is based in Shoreditch.
